ChronAlert pulls dozens of live public feeds onto one screen - every one of them listed below. Each feed can appear on the map, as an information card, or both, and you choose which are on. Nothing here is a subscription: the data is free, and so is everything except the Pro items noted.

Every saved panel picks one of these. World, your National view, Regional, and Local are all in the free version; each view's zoom is configurable, and Regional / Local are a radius (in miles) around the location you set.

Kp, solar flux and solar wind, X-ray flares, the aurora oval and the Dst storm index sit beside the ground truth: with Pro, EPA radiation monitors, the EIA power grid, every US nuclear reactor, active wildfires and CDC respiratory illness by state.

MAP shows on the map  ·  CARD shows as an info card. Turn any of them on or off per panel.

ChronAlert does not produce any of this data. It is an aggregator that pulls together these public feeds from the sources listed below and displays them in one place; each feed remains the property of its provider and is subject to that provider's availability and terms.

ChronAlert works in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. You pick your country on first run, and the national map view, weather alerts, radar, and local feeds switch to that country. Most feeds are worldwide; the Coverage column below shows where each one applies.

Webcams PRO (beta)   Pro can also put an IP camera on the wall beside your data - a front-door, shack, or public beach/traffic cam - fetched by ChronAlert and relayed to every screen. This one is experimental and may change.

A full APRS station on your wall.

ChronAlert does APRS from both directions: the internet APRS-IS network around you, and your own radio. Both show on the same map with standard APRS symbols.

• APRS RF - stations heard by your own RTL-SDR, sound card modem or TNC (direwolf, KISS TCP), with no internet needed. ChronAlert can start and stop the decoder for you.
• APRS-IS - every station within your chosen radius from the internet network, no radio needed.
• Standard APRS symbols, trails for moving stations, a dwell time so stations fade out gently, and a filter for which station types you see - set separately for RF and APRS-IS.
• Two-way APRS messaging in Command Center - threaded conversations with delivery status, and APRS messages on their own card.
• Search, Monitor and Follow any callsign - ChronAlert tells every screen when it shows up on APRS anywhere in the world.

Panels and Screens are what you build. Command Center is where you use them - without ever changing them.

• Search Everything - one box for callsigns, DXpeditions, DX cluster spots, frequencies, shortwave stations, mesh nodes, alert types, Panels and places, and every result can be acted on
• Modes - switch every Screen at once ("Radio Night", "Storm Mode"), then return to normal with one click
• Put This on Screen - any saved Panel on any Screen for 15 minutes, an hour, or until dismissed. From a search result it also shows a big warning-style details box and flies that Screen's map to it; anyone at the TV can press Dismiss to go back
• Temporary Monitor and Follow This - watch a DXpedition, callsign, DX entity, frequency, shortwave station, mesh node, alert type or place until it shows up, then notify every Screen or put a Panel up automatically
• Messages - two-way conversations over APRS (via APRS-IS, with your passcode), Meshtastic and MeshCore, threaded per station or mesh channel with delivery status and unread counts - or broadcast one message to several at once, with saved templates
• Timers and Reminders - a reminder, or an action at a time: put a Panel on a Screen, start a Mode, or return to Normal, once or on a schedule

Every Screen follows one clear order: Situation Room first, then a Put on Screen push, then the active Mode, then its normal rotation - and it falls back one level when each one ends.

It doesn't just display - it warns.

Critical events cross the bottom crawl, drop a marker on the map, and can sound a distinct tone. ChronAlert sounds for these alert types:

• Weather warnings - from your country's weather service (NWS, Environment Canada, the UK Met Office via MeteoAlarm, or the Bureau of Meteorology), scoped to your Watch Zones
• FEMA IPAWS / EAS civil and national alerts, with the full message: what happened, what to do, who issued it and when it expires US only
• GDACS global disaster alerts
• Geomagnetic (space weather) storms
• Solar flares / X-ray events
• Breaking news
• Situation Room takeover

The bottom crawl also carries the news, sports, and market headlines you pick - from public sources like NPR, BBC, CBC, ABC, CNN, ESPN, and CNBC. Every source is available on any plan; Free runs up to 2 sources at a time, Pro is unlimited. (Sports and markets are headlines, not live scores or quotes.)

Point, click, done.

Everything lives in one Config Console. Enter your callsign and QTH in App Settings - the callsign fills in everywhere else it is needed and the QTH creates your Home Watch Zone - then build Panels and hand them to your Screens. On Windows, ChronAlert runs quietly in the system tray, and starting it twice just opens the copy that is already running.

Feeds are live public data sources and can change or have outages outside our control; ChronAlert shows each feed's health (LIVE / STALE / OFFLINE) so you always know what's current. ChronAlert is a situational-awareness aid, not a substitute for official warnings from your national weather service, emergency-management agency, or local authorities.
