Free and Pro

ChronAlert Free is free and perpetual. ChronAlert Pro is a one-time purchase - there is no subscription and nothing recurring. Pro licenses are perpetual and are verified locally on your own computer.

Buying Pro gives you a license to use ChronAlert. It does not give you ownership of the software, its source code, or the ChronAlert brand.

Your license key

Your license key is for your own use. It may not be resold, redistributed, publicly shared, forged, or used to bypass licensing.

Revoking a license

We'd rather never need this, but we reserve the right to revoke a license, or to decline recovery, reissue, or support, if we reasonably determine there has been misuse, unauthorized sharing, resale or redistribution, fraud, chargeback abuse, or an attempt to circumvent licensing. If a license is revoked, ChronAlert Pro returns to the free tier the next time the app checks in; because the app is local-first, we can't promise a revocation takes effect instantly or on a machine that never connects. If you think something was handled in error, just reach out - we're happy to look into it.

Data feeds

ChronAlert relies on third-party and public data feeds. Those feeds may change, become unavailable, be delayed, or contain errors, and that is outside our control. Internet access is required for the live data feeds, even though the app itself is local-first and self-hosted.

Not an emergency service

ChronAlert is a situational-awareness aid. It is not an official emergency-notification or weather-warning service. Always confirm critical safety information through official sources before acting on it.

Refunds & satisfaction

We want you to be satisfied with ChronAlert Pro and confident in your purchase. If you experience a problem with the software, we'll do our best to help resolve it. If we're unable to get the issue resolved, we'll provide a refund. Our goal is to make sure ChronAlert Pro works as expected and that you feel comfortable reaching out if something isn't right.

Purchases that are refunded, reversed, fraudulent, or subject to a chargeback may lose eligibility for license recovery, reissue, and support.

Availability & warranty

We work to keep ChronAlert and its feeds running well, but we can't guarantee they will always be uninterrupted or error-free. ChronAlert is provided as-is, and to the extent allowed by law our liability is limited to the amount you paid for your license.
